Urban Decay: THE NAKED 3!!!!!!!!!!! Review and Swatches

DUN DUN DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! OH YES! I am so excited to say that when I got home today this little baby was waiting for me so of course I had to share my utter excitement with you!
This is the lovely little box this epic palette came in. Simple, cute and chic!

Inside?
This palette came with 4 sample squishy packs(best way I could describe it guys!) of the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potions. Sin, Anti-aging, Original and Eden. No Greed, that one is my fav. I am excited to try the anti-aging formula though!

The BIG REVEAL!!!
OH MY GLORIOUSNESS! The case is a rose gold (theme of the eyeshadows) metal with curtain like waves or maybe even a distressed metal detail, either way it's pretty much beautiful RIGHT?!
I did have a bit of a problem with my case though. It doesn't seem to close all the way. If anyone else had the problem please let me know. It locks tight but it still has a bit of a gap on both sides. Bummer, but I give no poops... haha.
And when you open it up...

WHAAAABAM! There is a nice sized mirror at the top for those of us who are lazy and do our makeup of the couch or the floor(Don't even lie!) and a handy double ended brush! And would you look at those shadows! I mean WOW! They are all so beautifully unique (All 100% new shades!) and ready to make some sexy rosy eye looks!

Lets take a closer look, shall we?
  •  Strange is a very pale yet not white matte highlight shadow.
  • Dust is a pinky princess shimmer.
  • Burn out is a dusty rose pink with a sheen.
  • Limit is a matte dusty light mauve great for blending out your crease.
  • Buzz is a very unique shimmer rose with a bit of purple.
  • Trick is definitely a champagne rose sheen.
  •  Nooner is easily my favorite is a mauve matte.
  • Liar is a shimmery taupe with a slight pink undertone.
  • Factory is a gorgeous rosy chocolate with a bit of a sheen.
  • Mugshot is a shimmery pinky brown
  • Darkside is a satin taupe/gray/pink.
  • Blackheart... OMG... is a charcoal black with pink shimmer through out. SO stunning!
Dust, Buzz and Mugshot are a little dusty and have some fall out but every shadow in this palette is soft and buttery. The colors are so pigmented that all I needed for the swatches was one swipe. I am so in love with the Naked 3. These shades should compliment every skin tone due to the fact that they are very natural and not crazy rosy like everyone thought. It's just enough for you to get that almost ROMANTIC and SOFT and FLOWY feel. It's just so warm an cozy. I can't wait to do some makeup looks with this baby! If you would like to see some just let me know in the comments below!
Love the palette! Only issue is with the packaging being a little wonky but I suppose I can handle that.
If you would like to get your hands on the Naked 3 Palette, it is now available online at Ulta and Sephora.
No longer in stock but...http://www.sephora.com/naked3-P384099
So clearly Ulta just needs some love.
I highly recommend this palette! If you do end up buying or receiving this for Christmas let me know what your thoughts are on this magical $52 dollar bundle of joy!

NEW: Covergirl Clump Crusher Extentions

Since the Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara came out it has truly been my life saving, go to mascara! It really doesn't clump, and my lashes always look full and lengthened. So when I saw that they introduced a new version I just had to give it a try!
The only difference in the packaging is the Extensions tube has a black wave pattern around the top.
Also no difference in the color (both very black) and no difference in the amazing CLUMP CRUSHING brush. (Top: Clump Crusher. Bottom: Clump Crusher Extensions.)

Upon looking at the formulas, I couldn't tell that there was a difference between the two. They look the same, they smell the same(odd I know), and from what I could tell the texture wasn't any different either.
So lets give them a try:
On the left is the Clump Crusher Extensions and on the right is the original Clump Crusher in the water resistant formula. Not a crazy amount of difference, but I have to say. I think my trusty Clump Crusher wins the test.
I wore the Extensions formula all day and I didn't have any smudging or flaking(I don't with the original water resistant formula either) and it was comfortable, no irritation.

Let's take a closer look:
 Original
 Extensions

What do you guys think? I don't mind using either one since I have them both, but I think I will be more likely to repurchase the original formula when I run out!
Thank you so much for reading. I hoped this helped you out if your were at all curious!

Friday Favorite!!

NEW SERIES! Let me know if you think it is a good idea.
Every Friday from now on I will post about a product that I am absolutely loving that week.
And this week..
It's the ever so popular NYX BUTTER GLOSS in Merengue!
This a blue/lilac toned pink gloss. The color is amazing. Here take a look.
Definitely one of those colors that will flatter everyone that wears it.
When you put it on the lips it keeps its color and the feel, OH MY GOSH the feel! There's a reason it is called a butter gloss... slides on like buttah!
This will make your lips look and feel amazing and when you talk you won't get those disgusting sticky gloss strings that like to ruin your perfectly bright and shiny day!
Butter glosses are not sticky at all, just smooth, creamy and pigmented!
You will have pretty color and gorgeous gloss!
So go pick one up from your local Ulta or get them online here http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/p-191-butter-gloss.aspx
Hope you like blogs like this! If you've tried these glosses let me know what your favorite color is! I would love to try it out!
Thank you so much for reading!

Frost Makeup

Frosted in the dark becomes the...
Cover face in white(NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk, prime entire upper and lower lids with a white primer(NYX Eyeshadow Primer) and powder with a white powder(MAC MSF in Lightscapade).
Create a whimsical icicle shape using a blue liner and blend down. Press a white powder into the center of your shape. Press a deep blue into the spaces between your shapes, blend this with different shades of blue. Begin to outline and make sketch like lines around your icicle shape.
Blend a dark blue shadow into your crease and blend upwards with and icy blue shadow.
Fill in your brows with the same icy blue shadow. The color of your natural brows will make the color look deeper.
Same as the eyes add contour to your forehead using a deeper blue at the hair line and blending out with the icy blue.
Using eyelash glue add glitter where ever you would like. (I added glitter to my neck, eyelids, lips, forehead, and cheekbones.)
And the BIG REVEAL...

To be completely honest, I had a really hard time with this look. I really appreciate you stopping buy and giving it a look because it makes me feel better when I have a bit of a makeup fail in my opinion.
That being said, I don't dislike this look... BUT I may end up giving it another try at some point.
Let me know what you think! I absolutely love hearing your feed back! Feel free to give this look a try and send me a picture of how it turns out!
Thank you so much for reading!
With so much &> Chelcey

Holiday Glitter Lip

So long story short, I spent nearly 3 hours working on a winter look and when I started photographing it... it looked horrible. The camera just didn't capture the beauty, but I did end up with one little bit of magic!
GLITTER LIPS!
White and frosty for the winter holiday season!
Fill your lips in with a white (preferably creamy) eye pencil.
Using eyelash glue (which can be stinky... ew but so worth it!) and a Q-tip broken in half. Using the stem of the Q-tip, apply the glue around your lips following your lip line.
(I suggest only doing one lip at a time)
Now quickly press your finger into your glitter (I used silvery white) and then press into the glue.
Repeat on your upper lip.
Wipe away any extra glue with the cotton side of a cotton swab.

AND YOU'RE DONE!

Now, I wouldn't really recommend eating with these absolutely stunning and fabulous lips, but if you are willing to drink out of a straw... or ya know... drink glitter, YOU'RE GOOD TO GO!
I am a huge fan of glitter so if I had a party that I wanted to look snazzy for I wouldn't be afraid to rock these, and you shouldn't be either! You are beautiful no matter how crazy your lip fashion is! You can even change up the color if you want!

Product Review: Revlon Illuminance Cream Shadow

Revlon Illuminance Cream Shadow in Moonlit Jewels
I got this little gem(haha) while Revlon was half off at Ulta and I am so glad that I did!
The colors in this palette are absolutely gorgeous! There is a slightly shimmery nude, a burnt burgundy brown, a hunter green and a deep blue.
Each one of these cream shadows is smooth and creamy and can be applied easily with your finger! You can wear them alone or use them as a base for your shadow.

What do the colors look like on the skin?! Let's find out!
Pale nude
Burgundy brown
Hunter green
Deep blue

I love all of these and they make those tough mornings when you don't even want to get out of bed, let alone put on makeup a heck of a lot easier. Just slap on some of the shadow, some mascara and lip balm and your out the door! If you have oily eyelids just blend a matching eyeshadow over top and blend out your crease.
If you get a chance to try these lovely cream shadows let me know how you like them! I always love hearing about different experiences with products. I'm a makeup addict. I love talking about makeup!
Thank you so much for reading! Hopefully everyone had a great holiday! Looking forward to the festive season myself! If you have any suggestions feel free to let me know!
