September 2013 Ipsy Overview and a Little FOTD

It's that time of the month again... (not that time) YAY Ipsy Glam Bag time!
I honestly have to say that it really doesn't matter what I get. I just love that I get 5 makeup items for 10 bucks. That really doesn't happen anywhere else!
That's not to say that I'm always a fan of the products that I get.
So let's dive right in, shall we?

First off, almost ALL of my products this month were FULL SIZE! And the bag, OMG THE BAG!
Exactly what the theme says. Timeless and beautiful, and it doesn't hurt that its in my B-day month color SAPPHIRE!
Okay so Chelcey stop ranting... Products
First in the game...
Not the most fab picture, I know but I only have an IPhone to work with for now.
Starlooks Eye Kohl in Obsidian
It's your basic kohl pencil.
Good for smudggy smudggy.
Not so much on the water line because it will bleed out.

Second up...
Victoria Jackson Taupe Eyebrow Pencil
I like it but not sure if I love it yet. It's a little soft so that means it is easily smudgable.
and I don't think it claims to be waterproof or anything so once it's on
DO NOT TOUCH THOSE BROWS!
It does look great on the brows and it comes with a little built in sharpener at the bottom even though it's retractable. I love that idea because that way its never dull!
But the color is perfect and would work for everyone from blonde to dark brown!
Remember, eyebrows frame the face. That's why those celebrity's w/o eyebrow pics are so freaking funny!

Third in line...
 NYX Eyeshadow in Velvet Suede
This is a silvery blue with shimmer (not to be confused with glitter!)
I think this is gorgeous. I love NYX shadows, they're buttery and so pigmented for a pretty low price.
I think this color is going to be a great transition for the summer pop of color under the eye for the fall and winter season.
LOVE!

Fourth you say..?
Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm in Big Apple
Okay I'm not going to lie.. I was convinced that I was going to absolutely hate this. I hate red anything when it comes to lips on me because I think I look ridiculous... but then I put this on.
OMG I LOVE IT. I was amazed. Not really a lip balm though more of a lip stain just to give those of you wanting this a warning.
I really like the fact that it comes with its own little built in brush.
The color is actually really lovely! It's very very pigmented but goes on slightly sheer at the same time.
It doesn't really give the lips much moisture but just a few seconds after you put it on it sets!
Seriously I sat and kissed my hand (if you love makeup you've done this, don't judge me) around five or six times and nothing, I mean NOTHING came off.
Hello winter parties, here I come!

Finally # Five...

Elizabeth Mott It's So Big Mascara
It's alright. Bit of a wet formula for me. the brush really doesn't do anything special and this was the only sample sized product that I got so I'm really not complaining.
It's a good dark black color so if you have light lashes and just want to add some color this would do the trick. I do think that the name of this has a bit of a higher claim on the packaging than the actual "package" :)

So here are some swatches and a little face time to see what the products look like!
Brow Pencil, Mascara, Eyeliner, Lip Balm, & Eyeshadow
I really do like everything but the mascara. I'm so incredibly shocked at how much I love the "lip balm".
You also get a little test card of the EM cosmetics line by Michelle Phan. I will let you know what I think of that when I test it out
All together the bag that I paid $10 little dollars for is worth $58
I am a little bummed that I didn't get the Butter London Nail polish but what can ya do!
I still love getting this bag every month!
